I was flipping through some magazines one day when I chanced upon this. It was an 8 Days interview with the Top 12 contestons in Singapore Idol 2.
"The Magic Numbers
By pop culture standards, 12 is an iconic number. There're 12 days of Christmas. There're 12 apostles. 12 signs in the Zodiac. 12 pairs of ribs in the human body. And while we're on the subject of singing, guess how many pitch classes make a full octave? That's right, 12.
Did someone say 12 months to the next bonus? Gulp. These Top 12 Singapore Idol finalists (whittled down from a staggering 3600 wannabes), however, have a different equation on their minds. Their numbers, you see, will diminish over the next 12 weeks as voters back their favourites. Down to the last one standing - the new Singapore Idol. So watch these 12. They're gonna be doing some magic numbers. Iconic, indeed."
I felt a sense of nostalgia as I read this. I miss tee twelve! And I miss school too. And I felt proud of being in tee twelve after reading this, haha.

it ends tonight
hello hello. lets talk about prom. it sucks because it is one freaking beauty contest. with pernickety little bastards and beeyatches with your fancy dresses, judge others and try to impress. kowtow to that. but it so roxors because i get to see my beautiful classmates all being beautiful as they already are being even more beautiful. aww zomg mcron makes no sense but bottom line is they are beautiful people. so here goes, tribute to my lovely teetwelvers. i probably wont see seven eighths of them ever again but who knows in twenty years time,
terence will be the first singaporean to play in NBA
yansheng will be building A380's part-time and also become the best french horn player to ever live.
kimberly will be a taitai, mahjong all day long and live in an electric blue coloured house with psyduck.
alvina will be a model because she is oh so damn gorgeous during prom. totally prom queen worthy.
liying will be a tattoo artist and i will get her to tattoo my mother's name on my chest.
alycia will grow taller by 2mm and she will be the new poster girl for 'hua yu's cool'.
alyson will be taller by 20cm and she will join kim in her mahjong games because alyson is also a potential taitai.
dorothy will do what she does best and that is to deal with money. some loan shark will acquire her service and she will do her job. you bet she will.
jean will be an environmentalist. despite her mriaowing antics, pennycake will be singapore's very own mother theresa. never fails to help the needy.
nat will be a frisbee instructor with uncle rah. bag packing her life away with her ever changing boyfriends. occasionally with libing too.
libing will join team singapore and continue running. she never stops.
sherlyn will elope with her boyfriend and have 20 kids.
shuhui will form her own girl band named zipangu and become famous. she also has the knack for changing her identity as she does so successfully during prom.
wanting will FINALLY get off the shelve for AWHILE because she will FINALLY take of her specs and become so hot that she starts dumping boySSSS.
erica will be the best ballet teacher in town. occasionally involve in scandals will celebrities and holds the record for having the most divorces.
anna will go back to india and join bollywood.
zhangmei will be the best housewife in the world because she will get everything done by shooting down either her husband or her children. she can open a tuition centre to change seventeen pointers to triple A students too.
hope i didnt leave anyone out. i love every single one of you and thank you for all your pretty presents and mementoes. god bless. god speed. good life to all.
not in order or preference whatsoever to avoid the critics from dishing out harsh comments.

Every day when you return from your school, whether or not it is from a secondary school, a junior college, a polytechnic, or ITE, you would probably think that school sucks. All that work and torture under your lecturer's or teacher's homework or assignments, or tutorials...
But think about this, I mean really think. All the time spent with your classmates, all the laughter, sorrows, and happiness of knowing that your friends are there in your class.
Now imagine them gone, perhaps part of them or even all of them. You may not realise it, but when advancing into the next level of education, it is inevitable that some friends will be parting with you.
What is all this, you ask yourself; what I ask is of you to think, for those who received this mail, what do those people who were once or were still your classmates and friends meant to you. Anyone who has at least finished their O-levels and has graduated from respective schools would know the feeling of parting with your classmates and friends. Not knowing when you still see them again. Perhaps the next day, the next week, month, years, or even decade.
Perhaps one day, you would realised how bittersweet those memories were, the fun you had with your classmates and friends. That is why, ever so often, when you asked someone which are the most fond memories they had in their years in education, they would often have that sadness in their eyes, but yet, they smile briefly. It's the memories of their school friends. Those unforgettable years of laughter and happiness in school.
Each classmate had suffered under the same stresses in school. The teachers, whether they are kind or extremely strict. So treasure your schooling days, don't complain, because you never know when you will miss them dearly. And perhaps, shed a tear for those treasured times in your youth.
Now, you have two choices,
1) if this touches your heart, and reminded you of those classmates who brought happiness, laughter, colour to your life, you can pass it on, let your classmates know that although all these years, whether short or long, you still have not forgotten them. Or...
2) If you feel that this is just another letter that is writing rubbish, you can just delete this straightaway.
